Community Supported Agriculture and Rolling Fork Organic Farm

Picture

Our CSA farm share program is where we have chosen to focus our efforts after nearly 20 years of growing organic produce for market.  We know that communities can come together to provide their own fundamental needs.  One way to begin this process is to grow your own food and if that is not practical, to bring your food in from local farms.  Joining a CSA farm is a way to make that connection between the feeding our bodies and keeping the community alive and healthy.

What is Rolling Fork Farm’s Organic CSA?
Families and individuals in central Kentucky can become members of our CSA farm share program.  Once you join our farm you can pick up your fresh organically grown produce each week from either the farm in Forkland or our convenient meeting spot in Danville.   Our CSA season begins in mid May.  The first eleven weeks of the spring/summerbegin with lots of spinach, our unique spring salad mixes, baby beets and super sweet carrots, and more..as the season warms, tomatoes, basil and crisp cuccumbers come in.  All the summer produce starts pouring from the fields and into your basket!  We take a one month break from the summer heat in August then the eleven week Summer/Fall season begins in earnest right through October and into early Novermber.  Sign on for the spring season with us, then in August you have the option of joining us for another 11 weeks of bountiful late summer and fall harvest.  In all our CSA goes for 22 weeks or 5 full months of fresh certified organic produce on your table.  We grow 40 to 50 types of vegetables on the farm for our CSA members, and we try to include as much variety in your basket as we possibly can.  Each week our goal is to have about 8 different types of produce available for the members.  Often, in the fullness of the season, we offer some additional choice between the many kinds of vegetables.
